Cruise 45 minutes from Cairns aboard the air-conditioned Fitzroy Flyer to Fitzroy Island on the Great Barrier Reef. Spend the day exploring Welcome Bay, rainforest walks, Nudey Beach and snorkelling the fringing reef — then join a small-group talk at the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre. Meet recovering sea turtles, hear their rescue stories and learn how the volunteer-run centre nurses them back to health before release. A meaningful, island-only experience reserved exclusively for guests of the Fitzroy Flyer.

Anyone travelling to Fitzroy Island under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. 


INCLUDES: This package offers return transfers from Cairns to Fitzroy Island departing at 8am and leaving the island at 5pm and a Turtle Rehabilitation Centre Talk at 2:45pm.

BOARDING AND CHECK-IN INSTRUCTIONS

  • Cairns to Fitzroy Island Ferry: Make your way directly to Berth 20 on the Marlin Marina Wharf. Please ensure your QR code is ready to be scanned.
  • Turtle Rehabilitation Centre: Meet at the rehab centre by 2:40pm for check-in
  • Fitzroy Island to Cairns Ferry: Make your way directly to the jetty at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled 5pm departure.
