Cruise 45 minutes from Cairns aboard the air-conditioned Fitzroy Flyer to Fitzroy Island on the Great Barrier Reef. Spend the day exploring Welcome Bay, rainforest walks, Nudey Beach and snorkelling the fringing reef — then join a small-group talk at the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre. Meet recovering sea turtles, hear their rescue stories and learn how the volunteer-run centre nurses them back to health before release. A meaningful, island-only experience reserved exclusively for guests of the Fitzroy Flyer.

Anyone travelling to Fitzroy Island under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

BOARDING INSTRUCTIONS: 

  • Cairns to Fitzroy Island: Please make your way directly to the Fitzroy Flyer to check-in. The Fitzroy Flyer is located at Berth 20 on the Marlin Marina Wharf. 
  • Turtle Rehabilitation Centre: Meet at the rehab centre by 2:40pm for check-in
  • Fitzroy Island to Cairns Ferry: Make your way directly to the jetty at least 20 minutes prior to your scheduled 5pm departure.


TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Due to increased workplace health & safety requirements, we can no longer carry oversized luggage (20kg or greater), Eskys, Cooler Boxes & Beach Trollies, Stand Up Paddleboards or Kayaks. Please ensure you pack accordingly.
