A full payment equivalent to entire product will be taken at the time of booking.
If you book a one-way transfer or select an alternative time slot due to your preferred time being fully booked, please note that we cannot accommodate any subsequent requests for changes to your booking, nor can we issue any credits or refunds.

LUGGAGE POLICY
Passengers are permitted to bring aboard one large suitcase and one small piece of luggage per person. Eskys, Cooler Boxes & Beach Trollies are strictly prohibited. Any additional equipment beyond the mentioned allowance will be subject to additional fees. Passengers are responsible for ensuring that their luggage complies with these regulations and understand that failure to do so may result in refusal of carriage or additional charges.
Stand Up Paddleboards and Sea kayaks cannot be brought on any of our vessels. They cannot be stored in a safe manner that does not prevent access to muster stations in the unlikely event we need to evacuate our vessel.
Please ensure that you pack appropriately before check-in as we do not have facilities in the booking centre to store these items.

ALCOHOL POLICY
Fitzroy Island Resort is a licensed venue, and bringing alcohol to the Island is strictly prohibited.
Our Food & Beverage Outlets, including Zephyr Restaurant, Foxy's Bar, and the Pool Bar, offer an extensive menu of alcoholic beverages for purchase, which can be enjoyed on-site. Additionally, we offer a bottle shop service from Foxy’s Bar and have a small general store for basic options.
Any alcohol brought to the Island will be confiscated and stored until your departure.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
If you have booked a discounted or "locals" rate, it is required that each person on the booking presents either a Queensland driver's license or a proof of age a card with a local residential address during check-in. We cannot accept bills, bank statements, pay slips, passports, etc. Refunds will not be issued if you fail to book using the correct discount code or cannot produce appropriate identification on check-in. For any cancellations, please see below 'Cancellation Policy Discounted/ Local rates'.

GENERAL
Fitzroy Island Resort does not have the capacity to store refrigerated items prior to check-in. We kindly request to refrain to from bringing perishable items that require refrigeration. An exception will be made for medication.


CANCELLATIONS - TRANSFERS, DAY TRIPS, AND TOURS
Cancellation requests must be received in writing by email to stay@fitzroyisland.com.

Cancellation Policy Non-discounted rates - 48 Hours: If the reservation is cancelled or changed at least 48 hours prior to the day of arrival, we will refund your booking less any booking fees paid*. No refund for bookings cancelled inside 48 hours of travel.

Cancellation Policy Discounted/ Local rates: If the reservation booked at a discounted/ local rate is cancelled at ANY time, including outside 48 hours of arrival, a 10% non-refundable booking fee will be incurred. No refund for bookings cancelled inside 48 hours of travel.

Should the Fitzroy Flyer or package component / tour not operate for any reason, then an alternative date or vessel arrangements will be offered to the passenger. If an alternative date cannot be arranged, we will then process a refund*. If the passenger accepts the alternate date, then no further refunds will be authorized.

*Please note that any credit card merchant fees, booking fees or international transaction fees incurred in processing your refund, are strictly non-refundable and will not be included in the final refund amount. When a package component has been cancelled, only that option will be refunded.


CANCELLATIONS FOR CAMPING
All campsite bookings incur a 7-day cancellation policy. Amendments & cancellations within 7-days of arrival will be strictly non-refundable (including but not limited to cancellations due to adverse weather conditions). Full payment is required at the time of booking.

BOARDING INSTRUCTIONS
Boarding commences 30 minutes prior to departure. Please check-in with the team at the Fitzroy Island Booking Centre before making your way to the nominated vessel as departure point or vessel may have been changed. From Fitzroy Island back to Cairns, we ask that you are on the jetty 15 minutes prior to departure.

GIFT VOUCHERS
Gift vouchers are strictly non-refundable once purchased. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred. Vouchers cannot be extended beyond the expiration date.

FORCE MAJEURE
Force majeure events include, but are not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, or any other unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of the Resort that prevents us from fulfilling our obligations. Fitzroy Island Resort shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, theft, or destruction of guests' belongings, including but not limited to personal effects, valuables, electronic devices, jewelry, or any other property left in guest rooms, common areas, Campsites, or any other part of the Resort premises.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is NOT included. Holiday plans can be disrupted, and cancellation fees can be costly. Travel insurance is inexpensive and highly recommended. Please note that Travel Insurance may not cover disruptions caused by mechanical breakdowns or adverse weather conditions. Fitzroy Island Investments Pty Ltd. strongly recommends that passengers arrange their own travel insurance. We reserve the right to cancel or amend with no notice our advertised departure times. This advice is general in nature and may not address the specific circumstances of a particular individual.

LIABILITY
Fitzroy Island Investments Pty. Ltd - trading as Fitzroy Island Resort - and/or its owners and operators do not accept any responsibility (whether in tort contract or otherwise howsoever) for any injury to, or death of, any of its passengers whether during embarkment, carriage, disembarkation and whether caused by negligence or otherwise howsoever of any of its servants or agents, and liability for all claims or demands whatsoever in respect of all injuries or death howsoever caused is hereby excluded. Further, no liability, either express or implied, will be accepted for the loss of, damage to, mis-delivery or delay in delivery of luggage or cargo loaded or carried by Fitzroy Island Resort.

BE KIND
Fitzroy Island Resort reserve the right to deny boarding, refuse service, cancel any booking in the case of guest misconduct.
